OpenStreetMap is the heart of Kathmandu Living Labs. Every week, the entire team of KLL comes together to contribute map data on OSM. 



The team members are motivated by games, samosas, momos, kachauris, and most of all, the zeal to make a difference. 



Here are some glimpses of what happens behind the scenes:

The event is open to members outside team KLL as well. We welcome anyone interested in joining us to contribute, learn or get trained in OSM. The members at KLL are introduced to OSM as a part of their induction to the organization. They then go through sessions on mapping using Id editor and JOSM, after which they map in the weekly mapping hour. Our in-house expert mappers do validation of the map data produced instead of mapping.

Enthralled by the unprecedented performance of the National Football Team in the SAFF games, our team at KLL came up with this excellent idea to take the team spirit to a whole new level.

At KLL, we wrap up the week enjoying a friendly futsal. Occasionally we team up with our Biruwa home-guys to play against other teams. And oh! We also accept challenges. If you want to have one, just let us know.
